Directing

(Tournament Director - TD): Oversees the game/tournament, enforces the rules (Laws of Bridge), resolves disputes between players, maintains the schedule, and ensures fair play.

Caddy

​An assistant who helps the Director and organizers run the tournament. Duties include setting up/clearing tables, moving boards between rounds, distributing results, and running errands.

Events

Organized bridge competitions or social gatherings, which can range from a single evening game ("session") to multi-day regional or national tournaments.

Pro

A Professional Bridge Player/Teacher. Someone who earns a living through playing (often as a hired partner), teaching lessons, and writing instructional material. They are experts in the game.
